Tone your muscles, jazz up your appearance and fight age-related muscle loss with weight training in just 20-30 minutes a day!
Surf any body building sites or articles and you’ll find an endless series of articles or tips that teach you to do 3 or 5 sets of repetitions and what not. To do a full body workout, you need like 90 - 120 minutes a day. That’s a lot of time to spend in the gym!
Let me share with you a secret… you only need to do one set of repetition for each muscle group!
Research shows that a single set of 12 repetitions with the proper weight can build muscle just as effectively as three sets of the same exercise with lighter weights.
“Use a weight heavy enough to tire your muscles after 12 repetitions,” says Edward Laskowski, M.D., a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., and co-director of the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center. “At the proper weight, you should be just barely able to finish the 12th repetition.”
In just 20 to 30 minutes, you can do a complete series of weight training exercises for your arms, shoulders, abdomen, chest, back and legs.”
Get your facts right, don’t waste time pumping hours and hours in the gym when you can do it in 20-30 minutes a day

Day 17 of My Super Weight Loss Cum Body Toning Project
Jul 24, 2008 1 Comment
Today I committed a BIG weight loss sin - I skipped a meal!
How is that a sin? Well, skipping meals will only lead to one thing, you get hungrier and you binge on the next meal feeling it’s ok coz you’ve skipped the meal before right? WRONG!
It’s the worst that could happen, you lose balance and by binging on the next meal, your body gets much more food than it requires, leading to a lot of wastage turning into extra fats!
Sigh……
It started with breakfast…

Breakfast was ok, errr the sausage, we only had 2 left, so we cut it into a few pieces and shared hehehe
Then, I skipped lunch coz I was too busy working, I almost skipped dinner too, until it was at about 9.30 pm and I had a little bit of time to eat, and so I ate. Skipped lunch, dinner at 9.30pm, you can only imagine how much I would love to eat a nice meal at that time, and so I did…

I had fried rice (carbo!), black pepper pork belly soup and chinese tea
Now those food don’t sound like something one would have when undergoing a weight loss plan do they? lol
Top 3 Reasons Why People Fail To Lose Weight And How To Deal With Weight Loss Better
Jul 23, 2008 2 Comments
The level of obesity is at an all time high at the moment especially in America. From statistics collected, the average weight loss experienced by those who were on a diet plan were a mere 5-8 pounds annually. To investigate the matter further, a small survey was carried out on the subject matter and these three came out as the top reasons as to why people fail to lose weight with diets:
1. Low motivation to continue with the diet
2. By skipping meals, they go hungry faster and pig out on the next meal
3. When having bad days, they pig out even more
Let’s look at these weight loss dilemmas and deal with them one by one in order to help you lose weight better, faster and more efficiently.
Low motivation to continue with the diet
When on a diet, it is common to rule out our favorite foods and drinks. We then stick to healthy foods that we usually don’t really like. With an arrangement like this, it is very easy to start feeling bored and sick of the same old boring food. Then they usually start asking, “Why am I torturing myself like this?” Most dieters can’t answer this question properly! In a nutshell, their intentions to lose weight is not clear and they don’t have enough motivation to continue with their weight loss journey.
One of the best ways to deal with this problem is to use the “Cheating Method”. I talk about this method a lot in my system but in a short paragraph, here’s what it means…
You need to have an objective which is bigger than weight loss, something very personal to you. Once you find that objective, you need to set up a scenario where you can only get there through losing weight successfully. When you plan out your weight loss like that, your motivation is no longer to lose weight but to achieve that bigger goal, losing weight is just a tool to get there. This is why it’s called “The Cheating Method”

Most people start out on a weight loss plan expecting tremendous results in the shortest amount of time. Well it’s good to think positive but most of the time, they end up tormenting themselves with the plan and before they achieve any real results, they give up. The problem is not with the weight loss plan being ineffective. The problem is, most people are just clueless about what they really need to do instead of just blindly following the plan.
Let me share with you 5 weight loss tips that you can start practicing in a few minutes from now…
1. Never say “It’s ok, I’ll burn it off tomorrow”
It’s easy to fall into this trap. When you have your favorite food in front of you, it’s really difficult to resist the temptation. So you end up saying, “It’s ok, I’ll burn it off tomorrow” and then you give in. Now this is where you’re making one of the worst mistakes! That workout tomorrow rarely happens. You know it too. Trust me, refrain yourself from giving in at all costs and you’ll be well on your way to achieving that desired weight loss.
