Google Webmaster Guidelines. For those who are into manuals and such, get it straight from the horse’s mouth.
Yahoo Search Content Quality Guidelines. Don’t just focus on Google, pick up some stuff from Yahoo! as well.
MSN Guidelines for Successful Indexing. MSN still has a large user base ok.
Google Keyword Tool. My personal favorite, by far the best and cheapest (free) tool around. Identify potential keywords to optimize your site for.
SEOmoz Tools. Get some super-duper SEO tools!
