Teed off at Selesa Resort Golf Course last Saturday and boy it was really a mixed feeling kinda game. Don’t be fooled by the picture above, it’s the best picture I can find for this course with a little bit of photo touch-up. In reality, the course was rather bad.
Fair enough, the course design was great, narrow fairways and small green areas, a challenging course indeed. BUT, it was so poorly maintained and it just sucked big time. Especially the greens, it was full of small rocks and sand and BOUNCY! That’s right, BOUNCY! How can any golfer putt nicely with a bouncy green!
Not just that, there were snakes! Thank god none of us got bitten. Here’s a picture I took of this slimy thing

Scary isn’t it?
Sigh, Selesa Resort is the worst course I’ve ever played so far, BUT, it’s also the BEST scores I’ve achieved so far, check out my scorecard below, it’s the best one so far. That’s why I have such a mixed feeling about the session at Selesa Resort lol.
Anyway, no more Selesa Resort for me and my buddies.

Rain golf sucks – played one of the worst games ever, well, I actually had worst but it sure felt like the worst. I was playing really poorly, just couldn’t get my swing together and screwed up most of my shots. It didn’t help that the rain made the grip so wet and slippery.
One thing I noticed, my swing was just not consistent. I was trying so many types of swing just trying to launch the ball, bad move, totally lost focus of the game. It’s time to get back to the range and firm up my swing.
That’s the problem with newbies when you don’t attend any real training, with so many people teaching you a bit here and there, you tend to get lost and confused over what or who to listen to. I think all newbies should work twice as hard at the range to drill the right swing into their mind and body muscles, and that’s what I intend to do next before playing on the course again.
Stay tuned for new updates soon!

I finally managed to sell off my old golf set that was previously just sitting there collecting dust. Hence, I immediately splurged on getting new equipments. Got myself a brand new Nike Golf Cart Bag, Elite Series, Black in color and also the Nike SUMO2 5900 Squared Driver. With these purchases, I’m only one putter away from collecting my dream set.
It feels great to be getting nearer and nearer to my goals – as mentioned in my resolutions page
Gonna be testing them out on the field tomorrow at Bandar Tasik Puteri. Can’t wait!

It’s the best game I’ve played on the scorecard, but it just didn’t quite felt like it when i was on the field. Guess I’m already putting a lot of expectations on myself. Anyway, here’s the scorecard for the record. Looking forward to better rounds.
