A story about being kind to others

Monday, March 31st, 2008 | Positive Thinking with No Comments »

Here’s a great story I read from my inbox today, it’s an awesome story about being kind to others, even to animals!

A guy who lives at Lake Conroe (50 miles north of Houston) saw a ball bouncing around kind of strangely in the lake and went to investigate.

It turned out to be a flathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth!!

The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but unable to because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry cat fish.

You probably wouldn’t have believed this,

If you hadn’t seen the following pictures…

Be kind to others

Be kind to others

Be kind to others

Be kind to others

Be kind to others

Here’s the summary line from that email:

Be kinder than necessary. Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Awesome, I totally agree with this! What do you think?

Start living

The following is a short but very, very meaningful paragraph of words I just received from a new friend. It’s her principle of life. I think it’s a great principle, one that each and every one of us should add to our own list of principles. Here it goes…

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.

Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin!

I love it, what about you?

If you haven’t already started, please, start living my friends.

If you’re reading this, Evelyn, you’ve just brightened up my day and enriched my mind. Thank you! :)

Funniest baby on earth?

3 Powerful steps to make the law of attraction work for you

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 | Positive Thinking with 2 Comments

Law of attraction

The law of Attraction states that we attract to our lives whatever we give our focus and attention to regardless of whether we realize it or not. If you find yourself complaining about how others around you are not good enough, not motivated enough for success, too lazy to work hard enough to get what they want and so on and so forth, watch out, these are the people you’re attracting to your life…

This is not a joke, the Law of Attraction is a Universal Law and it is consistent and fair. Many people have achieved huge amounts of success using the Law of Attraction. Yet, many others are struggling on the other side. Now, why is that so?

Why is it that people are not putting consistent and committed action in creating abundance in their lives? Why do they only know how to complain about other poeple, about their own lives and about anything and everything that is wrong? Why does the inspiration from reading a book or watching a movie based on the Law of Attraction whisper away so quickly?

I don’t know all the answers but one of the many reasons to that is what I call - Living in Comfort Zones.

Living in a comfort zone is a way of living where we live, think and act the way that we’re most familiar with. We are so familiar with the old ways of living, thinking and acting that we are almost afraid of change. We keep doing the same things, thinking the same thoughts and living the same life.

How can one keep doing the same things over and over again expecting different results?

If you’ve complained enough, it’s time to take a good look into your life and change… Here are three powerful steps to help you make the law of attraction work for you…

Step 1

Look at your current life. Ask yourself, what is missing from it and what you need to achieve in order to have an ideal life. This is important, before one can achieve any success, one must first know what is defined as success. Now ask yourself, what can you do to help yourself move towards this ideal life? What “must” you do to get there?

List down all your answers and look at them real hard. Here comes the second part…

Step 2

Visualize your results. No, literally. Draw or cut and paste pictures that resemble your ideal life and have them nicely pinned to a board. This becomes your vision board. Place this board somewhere where you’re bound to see it everyday.

This board becomes a reminder to what you you want to change in your life in order to have an ideal life. It serves as a re-affirmation of your commitments to yourself. Did you know that millionaires do this at least once a day? Billionaires do it at least twice a day. With that in mind, find a great place to hang this vision board.

Step 3

Have faith in yourself that you can achieve your ideal life. If you lack financial capabilities, go find ways to get it. If you lack the skill, go learn new skills. Allow yourself to believe and act in new ways. Allow yourself to believe that you’re the only person stopping you from achieveing your ideal life. Allow yourself to believe that anything is indeed possible. That is the only way for anyone to get different results in life, they act in a certain way that gets them what they want.Secrets I hope the steps above helps.

For those who are interested to learn more, here’s a good recommendation for you - get The Secret - by Rhonda Byrne. It’s ultimately the best book out there for the subject matter and I’ve never heard of anyone who read it who did not make a significant change in their lives. Really powerful stuff, highly recommended for anyone wishing to improve their lives.

Cheers!
